Are reported below. 1 Materials and Methods 1.1 General Information Choose from January 2006 to June 2007 at the First Affiliated Hospital of Wenzhou Medical College Department of Geriatrics, 52 patients hospitalized elderly patients with depression, into the set of standards: ① 65-year-old ≥ age ≤ 85 years old, the first depressive episode or recurrent depression ; ② The attack in the U.S. Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders 4th edition (DSM-IV) diagnostic criteria for depression; ④ Hamilton Depression Scale (hamilton depression scale, HAMD) total score ≥ 17 points, clinical efficacy CGI (clinical global impression, CGI) ≥ 4.
