Psychiatric Nurses Occupational Injury and Protection Investigation and Analysis Author: XIAO Ai-Xiang Chen Cuiwei Ye Rui Ming Huang Lihong [Keywords:] Psychiatric; nurses; occupational injury; Occupational Protection [Abstract] Objective To explore psychiatric nurses occupational injuries and protection status, psychiatric nurses for the development of occupational injuries due to occupational exposure to lead to provide the basis for the protective measures. Methods A self-designed questionnaire occupational protection of nurses, psychiatric nurses for 360 occupational injury and occupational protective investigation and analysis of the situation. Result of occupational accidents injuries to acupuncture hurt the most common injury in patients with attacks occur rates were 85.8% and 80.6%, needle injury is the main way to spread the disease. Conclusion safety education to strengthen nursing and management, and effective preventive measures taken by occupational injuries, standardize processes and reduce occupational injuries. Methods Investigations of occupational injury and protection status were conducted with a selfmade questionnaire in 360 psychiatric nurses . Results Needle lesion and patient’s aggressive injury were the commonest occupational injuries, incidences of them were 85.8% and 80.6% respectively. Needle lesion was main pathophorous route, and nurses were lack of knowledge of occupational protection.
