Psychological adaptation process validation [Keywords:] Structural Equation Model Validation of psychological process of social adaptation in undergraduates [Abstract] AIM: To prove Piagets theory of psychological process on social adaptation. METHODS: A questionnaire was prepared based on the theory and 2 models were created by the researchers. The models consisted of 4 steps of psychological adaptation and their correlations were taken into consideration. The main difference between the 2 models was the step on which the psychological energy acted directly. The scores obtained from 402 undergraduates in the research were used to compare the 2 models. RESULTS: Model 2 was ideal for representing the process of psychological adaptation , which showed that the psychological energy influenced mainly the operative step and not the comparative step. CONCLUSION: The theory about the psychological adaptation to society is demonstrated by experimental data.
