Results of TUNEL staining showed that the model group than in normal group increased apoptotic index, given Rana egg oil, the apoptotic index decreased (P lt;0.05). the normal group and model groups are significantly different (P lt;0.05), middle dose group and high dose group and model group were significantly different (P lt;0.05), small dose group and model group were no significant differences (Pgt; 0.05). Conclusion Rana egg oil may inhibit apoptosis in rat ovarian cells play the role of ovarian conservation. [Keywords:] Rana egg oil; apoptosis; ovarian [Abstract] Objective To study the ovary apoptosis factors change in androgen injection model of new born rats and the protective mechanism of ovum oil of Rana temporaria chensinensis David.Methods The ovum oil was abstracted from the ovum of Rana temporaria chensinensis David by ethyl alcohol extraction method.Ovary injury model rats were established by androgen injection on new born rats, when these rats grew up, administrated intragastrically by the ovum oil.Then the rats were killed to test apoptotic index by TUNEL.Results The apoptotic index in model group was higher than that of normal group.The ovum oil administration obviously decreased the apoptotic index (P lt;0.05). Conclusions The ovary protection of ovum oil on
