Teaching steps: Step 1 Lead-in and revision (Teacher asks the students to watch the filmYou are the apple of my eye before class.) At the beginning, teacher asks the students to form two groups to have a competition. Then asks them to say something about the film or the novel. (Show the questions on the screen.) 1.Where is it set? (In 1994, Taiwan.) 2.Who are the main characters in the film? (Shen Jiayi and Ke Jingteng.) 3.What is the theme of the film? (Friendship and calf / puppy love. ) 4.Whats the symbol in it? (An apple.) 5.Can you describe the plot of the film in a few sentences? (Ke Jingteng is a naughty student. His teacher asks the best student in the class Shen Jiayi to help him with his study. With her help, Ke Jingteng makes greater progress gradually.
