Inordertogeneratecolortestimageconsistentwithhumanperceptioninaspectofsaturation,lightness,andhueofimage,we proposeasaturationtestimagedesignmethodbasedonCIEDE2000colordi?erenceformula.Thismethodexploitsthesubjective saturationparameterC ofCIEDE2000togetaseriesoftestimageswithdi?erentsaturationbutsamelightnessandhue.Itis foundexperimentallythatthevisionperceptionhaslinearrelationshipwiththesaturationparameterC .Thiskindofsaturation testimagehasvariousapplications,suchasinthecheckingofcolormaskinge?ectinvisualexperimentsandthetestingofthe visuale?ectsofimagesimilaritycomponent. 1.Introduction addsamenoisesignalonallthesesaturationtestimagesand testobservationin?uenceofdi?erentsaturationtestimages tonoisesignal.Inaddition,thiskindofsaturationtestimages hasthesamestructuresothatitcanbeusedtotestthevisual e?ectsofimagesimilaritycomponents[9].
