Background.Darier’sdisease(DD),alsoknownasKeratosisFollicularisorDarier-Whitedisease,isararedisorderofkeratinization. DDcanpresentasageneralizedautosomaldominantconditionaswellasalocalizedorsegmentalpostzygoticcondition(V′azquez etal.,2002).ClinicalfeaturesofDDincludegreasy,wartypapulesandplaquesonseborrheicareas,dystrophicnails,palmo-plantar pits,andpapulesonthedorsumofthehandsandfeet.Objective.Wereportacaseofbasalcellcarcinomadevelopinginapatient withtype 2segmentalDD.Conclusion.Accordingtothecurrentliterature,Type2segmentaldiseaseisararepresentationof Darier’sdiseasewithonly8previouscasesreportedtodate.Inaddition,nonmelanomaskincancer(NMSC)arisingfromDDis rarelyreported;however,theremaybeanassociationbetweenDDandriskofcarcinogenesis. 1.Introduction Pastmedicalhistory wassigni?cantforDDwhichwas diagnosedat12yearsofage.Thiswasinitiallylocalizedto theleftsideofthebodybutovertheprevioustenyearshad gradually become bilateral.
