Wereportane?ectivemethodformassproductionofZnOhierarchical?owers(HFs)thatareconstructedbyinterlacedsingle crystallineZnOnanosheetswithdominantsurfacesof{1120}and{1100}.ThesizeofZnOHFs,thicknessandparkingdensityof thenanosheets,andHFinnerporositycanbetunedbychangingthesynthesisconditions.TheHFscontainingporousinner structures showed an excellent performance as the photoanode material in quasi-solid (using polymer gel electrolytes) dye- sensitizedsolarcells(DSCs)becauseoftheirsuperioropticalandelectricalproperties.Thehighcurrentdensity(10.26mAcm?2 ) ande?ciency(4.93%)oftheHF-basedDSCsindicateagreatpotentialforthedevelopmentofhigh-e?cientquasi-solidDSCs. 1.Introduction photoanodematerialbecauseitselectronmobilityismuch higherthanthatofTiO2,whiletheconductionbandedges ofbothmaterialslocateatapproximatelythesamelevel.In addition,ZnOshowsbetter?exibilitiesinsynthesisprocess and morphology control.
