Ｔｏ　Ｍａｋｅ　ｔｈｅ　２００５　Ｃｈｉｎａ－ＡＳＥＡＮ　Ｅｘｐｏ　Ａ　Ｇｒｅａｔｅｒ　Ｓｕｃｃｅｓ 　　From March 30 to April 15, 2005, Mr. Lu Bing, Vice Chairman of China-ASEAN Expo Organizing Committee and Governor of Guangxi People＇s Government, leading the Guangxi Governmental and Economic Delegation, paid a visit to Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam where they held promotion conferences for the Second China-ASEAN Expo and Investment Cooperation, and had exchanges of views with government officials and personages of various circles of these three countries on how to make the second CAEXPO a greater success. Upon his arrival back in Nanning, Mr. Lu Bing briefed to Su Fang, editor in chief of China-ASEAN Exposition, on this trip. 　　Q: What are the purposes of this visit? 　　A: There are three major purposes: first, to strengthen friendship; second, to promote economic and trade cooperation; and third, to publicize the second China-ASEAN Expo and solicit the opinions and suggestions of relevant parties with regard to the expo. 　　 The first China-ASEAN Expo of last year, which was held with the concerted effort of the governmental departments and the economic trade departments of China and the 10 ASEAN nations, was a great success. With 5 state leaders and 166 ministers of ASEAN countries present, the first CAEXPO had more than 8000 exhibitors, over 10,000 participants and hundreds of thousands of visitors and travelers. The total commodity transaction volume topped 1.086 billion US$, and the total investment contract value reached 4.968 billion US$. All these glorious achievements have won universal approval of all the cosponsors. The first magnificent international exposition ever held in Guangxi amazed the world instantly. 　　However, it was our first trial on hosting such a grand event, we were inexperienced and had some problems in our preparation and arrangement.
