Considering the expansion of the brain during this time, the decline in white matter neuron densitydoesnotnecessarilyindicatereducedtotalnumbersofwhitematterneuronsinearlypostnatallife.Furthermore, numerous cells in the white matter and deep grey matter were positive for the migration-associated glycoprotein polysialiated-neuronalcelladhesionmoleculeandGAD65
