Abstract With the Ministry of National Education issued an “English curriculum standards” in putting forward the concept of task-based learning, task-based teaching set off an upsurge in research and practice. In this paper, theoretical basic research paper introduces the concept and characteristics of the task, task phase and design patterns, and through with the traditional teaching mode 3P comparison, focusing on analysis of task-based teaching model in college English teaching advantages, in addition to , but also with the actual teaching situation, to explore the implementation process may encounter problems.

(A) Introduction
