Results:Thealgorithmisparticularlyrobustwithrespecttostrongsignaldistortionssuchastheadditionof1’ sat arbitrarypositions(contaminateddata),thedeletionofexisting1’sinthesequence(missingdata)andthe presenceofdisorderinthepositionofthe1’s(noise).Thisrobustnesspropertystemsfromanappropriate exploitationoftheremarkablealignmentpropertiesofperiodicpointsinsolenoidalcoordinates.
