Results:Ouranalysisofplantgenomesconfirmsthatnuclear-encodedproteinsfollowthesametrendthanother multi-cellulareukaryotes;however,chloroplast-andmitochondria-encodedproteinsconservethepatternsof ArchaeaandBacteria,inagreementwiththeirphylogeneticorigin.Basedoncurrentknowledgeaboutgene transferencefromthechloroplasttothenucleus,wereportastrongcorrelationbetweentherateofdisorderof transferredandnuclear-encodedproteins,evenforpolypeptidesthatplayfunctionalrolesbackinthechloroplast. Wefurtherinvestigatethistrendbyreviewingthesetofchloroplastribosomalproteins,oneofthemost representativetransferredgeneclusters,findingthattheribosomallargesubunit,assembledfromamajorityof nuclear-encodedproteins,isclearlymoreunstructuredthanthesmallone,whichintegratesmostlyplastid-encoded proteins. Conclusions:Ourobservationssuggestthattheevolutionarydynamicsoftheplantnucleusaddsdisordered segmentstogenesalike,regardlessoftheirorigin,withthenotableexceptionofproteinscurrentlyencodedin bothgenomes,probablyduetofunctionalcon
