Methods:Allnursesworkinginatertiarycarehospital,Ajman,UAEparticipatedinthiscross-sectionalsurvey. Aselfadministeredquestionnaireoffourdomains(knowledge,attitude,practice,factorsaffectingreporting)was distributedamongnursesafterobtaininginformedconsent.Theknowledgeandattitudecomponentswere assignedscoreofoneforcorrectresponse.DatawasanalyzedusingSPSS(version19).Mann–WhitneyUtestwas usedtocompareknowledgeandattitudescoresbetweensubgroups;Spearman’scorrelationforanyrelationship betweenknowledgeandattitude. Results:Ofthetotalparticipants,femalesconstituted92.3%;averagedurationofclinicalexperience6.5±3.3years; meanage28.9±4.1years.MedianscoreforknowledgecomponentsofADRreportingwas11(totalscore:17)and forattitudecomponentswas4(totalscore:8).Nodifferencenotedinknowledgeandattitudescoresbetween gender,agegroup,educationalqualification.Apositivecorrelationbetweenknowledgeandattitudecomponents wasobserved(r=0.38).ADRsareimportantcauseformorbidityandmortalitywasreportedby(54.9%).49.5%were awareofPharmacovigilancecenters’.UncertaintyofADRs(49.5%);concernthatthereportmaybewrong(46.2%) andinadequateknowledgeofADRreportingprocedurewerethemajorbarrierstoreporting.TraininginADR reportingasthekeymeasuretoimprovereportingwassuggestedby(86.8%). Majorconclusion:Theresultsofthestudystronglypointouttheneedforinterventionalprogramamongnurses
