T he b asic theories and means about membership funct ions, logical operat ions and fuzzy rules are expounded; they are fuzzy logic cont rol system s t hree import ant p arts. By using the graphical user int erface ( GU I) tools provided by the fuzzy logic toolbox, a f uzzy cont rol syst em is designed. Considering the w ater s movement is large lag and nonlinear, the fuzzy control syst em is applied to cont rol t he canal s mov ing syst em. A fuzzy cont rol simulat ion model of canal s moving process is built by using SIMU LIN K; and sim ulation of the syst em is realized. T he result show s th at t he f uzzy control method makes the syst em to acqu ire good dynamic funct ions th an traditional P+ PR cont rol.
