Methods:TheexpressionofSATB2wasexaminedinLSCCtissueandHEp2cellsbyWestern-blotting,Real-timePCRand immunohistochemicalstaining.CellgrowthcurveassayandcolonyformationassaywereusedtoverifytheeffectofSATB2 ontheproliferationandtumorprogressionabilityofHEp2cells.Tumorformationassayinnudemicewasusedtoanalyze theeffectofSATB2onthetumorigenicityofHEp2cells. Results: The status of SATB2 protein in carcinoma tissues is much lower than that in paracarcinoma tissues. The overall survivalofthepatientswithhighSATB2expressionwassignificantlyhigherthanthelowSATB2expressiongroup.Loweror negative SATB2 expression was significantly correlated with advanced clinical staging, histological grade and tumor recurrence.Invitroexperimentsdemonstratedthatover-expressio
