Results:TheTINAManualLandmarkingToolwasdevelopedforthedigitizationof3Ddatasets.Itenablesthe generationofamodifiable3Dvolumerenderingdisplayplusmatchingorthogonal2Dcross-sectionsfromDICOM files.Theobjectcanberotatedandaxesdefinedandfixed.Predefinedlistsoflandmarkscanbeloadedandthe landmarksidentifiedwithinanyoftherepresentations.Outputfilesarestoredinvariousestablishedformats, dependingonthepreferredevaluationsoftware. Conclusions:Thesoftwaretoolpresentedhereprovidesseveraloptionsfacilitatingtheplacingoflandmarkson 3Dobjects,includingvolumerenderingfromDICOMfiles,definitionandfixationofmeaningfulaxes,easyimport, placement,control,andexportoflandmarks,andhandlingoflargedatasets.TheTINAManualLandmarkToolruns underLinuxandcanbeobtainedforfreefrom/tarballs/.
