Results:Wehaveanalyzedtheproteincompositionofurineretentate(10kDacutoff)from30ADPKDpatients andanappropriatehealthycontrolgroupbymeansofagel-freerelativequantitationofasetofmorethan1400 proteins.WehaveidentifiedanADPKD-characteristicfootprintof155proteinssignificantlyup-ordownrepresented intheurineofADPKDpatients.Wehavefoundchangesinproteinsofcomplementsystem,apolipoproteins, serpins,severalgrowthfactorsinadditiontoknowncollagensandextracellularmatrixcomponents.Forasubsetof theseproteinswehaveconfirmedtheresultsusinganalternativeanalyticaltechnique. Conclusions:Obtainedresultsprovidebasisforfurthercharacterizationofpathomechanismunderlyingthe observeddifferencesandestablishingtheproteomicprognosticmarkerpanel.
