English Teaching in China-based Research Investigation and Analysis of 1 Since the 60s of this century, especially since the 80’s, due to linguistics, psychology and sociology, and many other disciplines rapid development of foreign language teaching and research has entered a new stage. In the past two decades, foreign scholars to the universal law of language learning, learner characteristics and specific teaching methods have done a lot of research and have made great progress. So China’s foreign language teaching research in what? We have proposed the 50 years to establish a foreign language teaching system with Chinese characteristics. 40 years have passed, our teaching and research has also yielded remarkable results. For example, the introduction of foreign language teaching in schools, combined with the application of China’s national conditions should be made great achievements, to improve the standard of English teaching in China has played an important role. But have to admit, my English teaching profession so far by the absence of an independent out of a solid theoretical foundation for the teaching of English ways, especially in the primary and secondary English education, but also the lack of systematic research. In order to more clearly understand China’s foreign language teaching in primary and secondary study of the status quo and to guide future research work, in order to promote the development of China’s foreign language education, the author made a survey.
