Sintered cer amics by the new for mula w as got after sinter ing at the temperatur e of 1 150 1 400 . T he influence of andalu site on physical proper ties of sintered ceramics, such as flex ur al strengt h, hardness, density and w ater absor ption etc. w ere studied . T he results show t hat t he flex ural strength , hardness and density of sintered ceramics can be gr eatly increased , w hile the f iring shrinkage can be decreased by adding andalusite and making the sinter ing temperatur e of over 1 300 .
