State Grid WU LONG Power Supply Company, Wulong 408500, China) Abstract: The accurate structure of variable speed constant frequency(VSCF) of permanent magnetic synchronous generator (PMSG) unit is presented and the dynamic mathematical model of VSCF permanent magnetic synchronous generator unit in d-q coordinate system is set up. The simulation modules for VSCF permanent magnetic synchronous generator unit are built up and the dynamic stability of the permanent magnetic synchronous generator connected into power grid is simulated by use of MATLAB/Simulink. The results of simulation indicate that the established model is correct. By adopting variable speed technology, the utilization rate of wind energy can be greatly enhanced and power system stability can also be improved.
