Objective T he pur pose o this study is to ev aluate the po ssibilit y and surg ical pr inciple o t itanium mesh u sed or the reconstruction o skull base bo ne de ect Methods T he clinical data o 11 pat ients w ith de ect o skull base bone repair ed w ith titanium mesh w ere r etro spectively analysed Results Amo ng 11 pat ient s, there w er e 6 pat ient s w ith skull base tumo r, 3 patients w it h ibrosis hy per plasia, 2 patients w ith encephalomeningo cele T he surg ical appro ach included cr anio acial appr oach in 7 patients, tr ans r ontal and ex tended tr ans ro ntal appro ach in 3 patients, transmid ace approach in 1 patient T he ant erio r and lateral skull base w as r epair ed in 2 patients, anter io r and middle skull base and sellar r epaired in 6 patients, anter ior skull base and o rbital loo r repaired in 3 patients In ear ly po sto per ativ e per iod , there w ere 3 pat ients w ith intr acr anial pneumat osis, but w itho ut sy mpt om , and 1 patient w ith t ransient cerebr ospinal leakage Fo llow ingup or av erag e 144 months, there w as no titanium mesh displacement and intr acr anial in ectio n in all patients Conclusions T he titanium mesh u sed o
