ABSTRACT Boundary value problem of differential equations is an important branch of mathmatics. The Boundary value problem from applied mathematics ,physics and variational problems of control theory,it is at present one of the most active fieles in analyse mathematics . Among then,multi-point boundary value problem comes from a lot of branches applied mathematics and physics ,and it is very meaningful in both practical and theoretical asects. The paper focuses the existence of positive solutions for boundary value prob- lems for second-order linear differential equations. Since the non-linear equation of state is different and the forms of boundary conditions as well as the focus of the researchs are different,the specific methods are used differently in the research.this paper studis multi-point boundary value problem which the non-linear item includes the single equation and the system of equations .By use of the fixed point index the- orem or fixed point theorem ,several the sufficient conditions for the existence of positive solutions are given to the multi-point boundary value. problems. The thesis is organized as follows : The chapter one introduces the historical backgorund of the research questions mainly. Secondly, it introduces the problems and progress researched in the paper and the main conclusions achieved by the paper. In chapter two, we study the existence of positive solutions to a type of three point boundary value problems of nonlinear second-order differential equations . By use of the fixed point index theorem ,several the sufficient conditions for the existence of positive solutions are given to the boundary value problems.
