The cause and endangerment of the middle column excursion in the single-story, mult-i span, steel structured work- shop are analyzed. The rectification technology is detailed. The deformation treatment of the steel-struc- tured workshop on soft ground is discussed and suggestions on similar engineering design and construc- tion, and maintenance management for the workshop are put forward.
