Abstract To impart the function of ″skin care″to textiles by using microcapsules technology, ″skin care″
microcapsuleswith olive oil as core and polyurethane as shellwere prepared by interfacial polymerization with
toluene-2, 4-diisocyanate (T I)and polyethylene glycol (PEG )as monomers and nonionic surfactants as
emulsifier in the emulsion system.The processing factors affecting microcapsules formation, such as emulsifier
type, temperature, stirring speed, and the molecular weight of PEG, were investigated.The emulsification of
different emulsifiers on olive oil was evaluated by laser particle analysis and bio-microscopy analysis.The
mixedemulsifier of Tween 80 and PVA is a good emulsifier, able to impart the olive oil emulsion system
stability to temperature cha
