第 卷第 期 船舶力学 15 9 Vol.15 No.9 年 月 2011 9 Journal of Ship Mechanics Sep. 2011 : ( ) Article ID 1007-7294 2011 09-1052-13 Mechanical Behaviors of Adhesively-bonded, Bolted and Hybrid Composite-to-Steel Joints LI Yong-sheng, WANG Wei-bo (China Ship Scientific Research Center, Wuxi 214082, China) Abstract: Six different types of composite-to-steel joints, namely single-strap adhesively bonded joint (SAJ), double-strap adhesively bonded joint (DAJ), single-strap bolted joint (SBJ), double-strap bolt- ed joint (DBJ), single-strap hybrid joint (SHJ), double-strap hybrid joint (DHJ), respectively, were experimentally and numerically investigated under tensile loading. The failure loads, load-deflection curves and failure modes were then obtained and compared with each other. Test results show that the ultimate load or joint load-carrying capacity appears to be very sensitive to the joint configura- tions. The stress distributions in the adhesive and the effects of geometric of the specimen such as overlap length, adhesive thickness, etc on the strength of joint were numerically investigated by finite element methods for the various joint parameters.
