本科英语专业泛读课程的误区及改进对策(国外英文资料) Misunderstandings and Countermeasures of extensive reading course for undergraduates majoring in English Abstract: extensive reading course is an important basic course for Junior English majors. The provisions of the English Teaching Syllabus for English Majors, extensive reading of English major undergraduate course aims to cultivate and improve students reading ability, enlarge vocabulary, and expand the English national and cultural background knowledge. However, in the specific teaching practice, the author found that the teaching of English extensive reading at present there are some easily overlooked errors, so we analysis of the causes of these errors in this paper, and puts forward some countermeasures, in order to improve the students English reading level. Key words: English majors; extensive reading; misunderstandings In the course design of undergraduate English majors, most schools have both intensive reading and extensive reading at the same time. These two courses are regarded as two courses that should be complementary and mutually reinforcing. Intensive reading class can make students the system of language knowledge and language phenomenon, and exercise the ability to comprehend and express with the help of the teacher, and there is a specific target language in every stage; and the extensive reading course in many ways, on the contrary, for example, the extensive reading course pays more attention to students in the reading process access to information and the discourse understanding of the importance of reading speed and comprehension accuracy.
