China Email: bmy@ Abstract The Engineering humanistic quality of engineering personnel is crucial to the results of engineering practice, and the fostering of humanistic quality for college students is the core content of cultivating the distinguished engineering talents, like the training of their professional capabilities. The connotation and component of the engineering humanistic quality is explained in this paper, and the necessity of training the humanistic quality during the higher education of engineering is illustrated. As for the cultivation of engineering humanistic quality for college students, the paper proposes a practical teaching mode which focuses on embarking the engineering case teaching mode at the premise of promoting the studying of humanities knowledge and building the humanities atmosphere in the campus. And other university –enterprise corporation mode for humanistic quality cultivation is also proposed, which mainly emphasizes to make the students participate the actual practice of solving engineering problems in form of team work at the principle of goal orientation and engineering tasks driving.
