My own experience of teaching English tells me that not every kid in your classes is very interested in learning English, and someone may consider it the least important of his many subjects that he needs to study in order to graduate. It’s very common in school and we must admit it. But we can’t lose hope and give up your students, or think they are unprosperous. We should try our best to enable the students to be interested in English or other subjects. Key Words Respect, love, patience, attitude and improvement.. Introduction In modern times, it seems to be a teacher more difficult than before. Why? Are the students becoming more complicated? Is the society changing so rapidly? I think it’s hard to answer this question. But I’m sure we all want to be a good teacher for the students. I. Respecting your students is the base of being a good teacher. Respecting all the students is one of the modern educational views , Consider them as independent persons, because they have different characters and personalities. They have different hobbies and habits. As a teacher, you should understand these and respect each student. And thus you’ll be respected, too. And then you’ll have the first essential condition of being a good teacher. II. Love will find a way. You can’t imagine a teacher without love. In my view, love is essential to a good teacher, especially in the primary school. The kids are young, they need to be loved. They need to feel respected and trusted. As a teacher, I always look them as my good friends, not only teach them knowledge, but also care of their souls. Once, I taught a boy named Yang Zhen, whose parents were divorced. So his temper is very strange, he can’t keep quiet and concentrate on study
