Have you ever quarreled with your parents? What is your quarrel about? What is a generation gap (代沟)? A generation gap describes a vast difference in cultural norms between a younger generation and their elders. The generation gap occurs when older and younger people do not understand each other because of their different experiences, opinions, habits and behaviour. Especially as one gets older, she or he isn’t always understood by the elders. So there will be trouble or pains during their growth. When does a generation gap occur? What does the boy do?
