This work is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution International License (CC BY). /licenses/by/4.0/ Abstract Transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) is a non-invasive neuromodulation technique which uses constant and low intensity direct current (1 - 2 mA) to regulate the activity of cerebral cortex neuron. With the advantage of little side effect, user-friendly manipulation and low cost, tDCS has been widely applied in the treatment of clinical diseases such as epilepsy, parkinsonism, tinnitus, depressive disorder, schizophrenia, alzheimer’s disease, addiction and so on. This paper briefly introduced tDCS technology and summarized related clinical application study. At last, ex- isting problems and future prospects were proposed in the paper.
