* * The Yaan earthquake April 20th, 2013.A 7.0-magnitude(级) earthquake hit Lushan county of Yaan city in southwest Chinas Sichuan Province at 8:02 a.m. The epicenter, with a depth of 13 km, was monitored at 30.3 degrees north latitude and 103.0 degrees east longitude. The quake was strongly felt by residents in Sichuans capital city of Chengdu, which is about 140 kilometers from Yaan. The National Health and Family Planning Commission said in its daily update on H7N9 cases that a total of 127 H7N9 cases have been reported in China, including 24 that have ended in death. A total of 33 cases, including 12 that have ended in death, have been reported in Shanghai. Twenty-four cases, including three deaths, have been reported in Jiangsu Province, and 40 cases, including five deaths, in Zhejiang Province. Anhui Province has reported three cases, with one ending in death. Beijing has reported one case and three have been reported in Henan Province. According to the commission, Chinas confirmed H7N9 cases are isolated and there has been no sign of human-to-human transmission. Chinese Premier Li Keqiang inquires information about the H7N9 virus at a lab in the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), in Beijing, capital of China, April 28, 2013. Li urged authorities to be vigilant against the H7N9 avian flu virus and prepare themselves for any new developments. On April 26th.
