The noble ladies were permitted to attend social activities and therefore had more chances to get contact with the opposite sex. So there appeared many love poems expressing men’s resentment（怨恨 ） and blames towards his beloved woman who refused his love. The infatuated(迷恋的) poet vented（发泄） his affections and accused her coldness and mercilessness. We have no such kind of poem in our Chinese love poems. The Lover’s Appeal?
