The Bangui road network is the major support of public transportation in the city. This extroversion of the Bangui transport system among other features is one of the major characteristics of this existing road network. The transport system was designed originally to ensure the export of the raw materials to the metropolis and not to promote exchanges within the city. Thus, this metropolis is the downtown Bangui where all lines of bus from north, south, east and west converge, and is also the district of all the administrations of the city.
