Histories of English American Literatures-英美文學史 Terminal Objective: The goal of this course is to help students to obtain an overview of the historical development of English American literatures by reading works of their major writers in chronological order. Enabling Objectives: Students will learn the basic literary terms which will enable them to better understand and analyze literary works. Students will have a glimpse into English American histories and culture. Students will learn the literary current and fashion of each historical period. Students will acquire biographical information of each author, pertaining to the reading of his/her works. Students will learn the unique features of each individual author and his/her works. Students will improve their English reading ability. Students will improve their skills in oral presentation.
