By studying the TMCP plus tempering technology , it was found that the me­ chanical properties of products and their plate shape can be improved by increasing the tempera ­ ture of feeding the steel plates into cooling water and self-tempering temperature . At the same time both the yield strength and tensile strength of the products can also be improved by using the suit ­ able tempering process .
