Methods The intervertebraI heights of cervicaI spine at sixty-eight IateraI X-ray fiIms taken preoperativeIy and postoperativeIy for the patients with cervicaI spondyIotic myeIopathy were measured by two surgeons u- sing four different methods，respectiveIy. The correIation of measurement resuIts was anaIyzed. Results The method for the measurement of anterior coIumn height had the highest correIation coefficient than other methods，whiIe the method of directIy measuring anterior cervicaI disc space had the Iowest correIation coefficient in aII the groups. Conclusion This study demon- strated that the method of measuring anterior coIumn height was the most reIiabIe one for the measurement of intervertebraI height and it was easy and practicaI in use. 【Key words 】 cervicaI spondyIotic
