1 What’s the weather like ...? ……天气怎么样？是对天气状况进行提问的特殊疑问句。同义句为 How is the weather...? e.g.—What’s the weather like in Kunming?= How is the weather in Kunming? 昆明的天气怎么样？ —It’s warm. 天气暖和。 2 fall秋天，作名词。 e.g. Fall is the harvest season. 秋天是收获的季节。 但该词多用作动词，意为“落下”，过去式为fell。 e.g. The little bird fell off the tree. 小鸟从树上掉了下来。 3 It’s a good + time/season.+ to do sth. 这是做……的好时间/季节。 e.g. It’s a good season to swim. 这是游泳的好季节。 还可表达为It’s a good + time/season+for sth./doing sth. e.g. It’s a good place for rest. 这是个休息的好地方。 It’s a good way for learning English. 这是个学英语的好方法。 4 make snowmen堆雪人 snowmen是snowman的复数形式，单数表达为make a snowman。 e.g. We all like making snowmen. 我们都喜欢堆雪人。 My brother made a snowman yesterday. 昨天我弟弟堆了一个雪人。 5 It’s hard to say. 很难说。 此句作为对某事犹豫不决或难以回答时的答语。 e.g.—Which is your favorite color, red, green or blue? 哪个是你最喜欢的颜色，红色、绿色还是蓝色？ e.g.—It’s hard to say.
