A n air craft model w ith f lex ible fu selag e u sing v ir tual pro tot ype is ap plied based on the mathematical mo dels o f the w hole system in AD AM S/ A ircr aft ver sion . A series o f simula tions o f dy nam ics r espo nses are analy zed . Simulat ion results show the impor tance o f consider ing t he influence of flex ible body in the design of landing g ear. F lex ible fu selage is able to contr ibute to absor bing 65% ener gy of sho ck absor ber and alleviat ing ov erload during landing appropr iately . It plays a ro le in absor bing and dissi patio n energ y. V ia research and analysis o f the landing gear system w ith flex ible bo dy , the co nclusion is go t that t he eff iciency o f sho ck absorber depends o n t he low or der elastic modes to a g reat ex tent .
