Ernest Hemingway (1899—1961);Childhood the second child , and the first son; Raised the Oak Park ,Illinois , a suburb of Chicago. Music lessons were useful in his writing and lifelong , passion for outdoor adventure and for living in remote or isolated areas.;School life Attended Oak Park and River Forest high school and excelled both academically and athletically. First writing experience was for the school’s newspaper and yearbook.;After high school Worked as reporter for the Kansa City Star(堪萨斯《星报》)before World War I for only six months. During the 1920s,Hemingway became a member of the group of expatriate Americans in Paris, which he described in his first important work. ;The Sun Also Rises(1926)《太阳依旧升起》 Equally successful was A Farewell to Arms(1929) 《永别了武器》the study of an American ambulance officer’s disillusionment in the war and his role as a deserter.
