Abstract: Accor ding to the structural property of actual meatus auditor ius, We develop an object ive method of artifical meatus audito ri-
us to measure sound insulation performance of earplug . We compare it w ith subjective threshold method and find that the former meth-
od is more universal than the latter. Ar tifical meatus auditor ius method can measure conv eniently sound insulation and spectr um of lin-
ear or nolinear earplug . t also have t he advantages of low discr ete and high repetition rate. ts measured data can descr ipt sound insula-
tion of earplug in true condition.
