Thermal fuse technology is a prominent and effective solution, because it has a good thermal coupling with the physical body of the MOV. When the body of MOV being heated up by the fault current through it, the thermal fuse will break. Thermally protected MOVs, which integrate a thermal fuse and a disk Varistor in a single package, comply withUL1449 3rd, IEC61643, GB18802.1-2002 standard. Thermally protected MOVs can substitute the standard MOV and offer higher security, never fire
