Physiographic Features: Scotland 3 natural zones: the North-West and Central Highlands (the Grampians) Ben Nevis, 1,343 meters 790 islands: Shetland, Orkney, and the Inner Hebrides and Outer Hebrides the Central Lowlands the Southern Uplands moorlands Physiographic Features: Scotland Scotland: Central Lowland Or: the Scottish Lowlands, the Midland Valley Lies in the valleys of Clyde and the Forth A rift valley mainly comprising Paleozoic formations: coal and iron The most important region in Scotland, which contains most of the cultivated farmland, industry and population.
