It has become one of renewable energy which was most mature, most economical and closest to traditional energy cost. Taiwan government has set up Thousand Wind Turbines Promotion Program, and has publicly announced “The Offshore Wind Power Demonstration System Incentive Program”, declared the offshore wind farm development in Taiwan has officially begun. The demonstration incentive program is expected to establishing locally offshore wind energy technologies and then follow the policy of “Development Rounds” is expected to achieve the target of offshore wind power and effectively promote the development of offshore wind energy industry in Taiwan.
