The progress and some problems in the study of rutile in metamorphic rocks. Earth Science Fr on- tiers , 2011, 18(2 : 026-032 Abstract:Rutile is a very common accessary m ineral in metamorphic roc s. Its geochemical characteristics attract more and more researchers along w ith t he development of in-sit u analysis method. This paper aims to provide an overview of the applicat ions of rutile in metamorphic pet rology, based on a review of data published in recent years. The focus lies on the follow ing progress and some problems in the study of rutile in met amor- phic roc s: ( 1) rutile occurrences and the reactions by w hich rutile grew in metamorphic roc s; ( 2) Zr-in- rutile applications in metamorphic roc s; ( 3) t he role of rutile in arc volcanic process and subduction met amor- phism; and ( 4) rutile U-Pb geochronology applicat ion in metamorphic roc s. Combined w ith the study of unique paleo-subduction zones in China, great interest will be focused on the research of rut ile application in metamorphic petrology . Key words: rutile; metamorphic petrology; Zr-in-rutile thermomet er; rutile U- Pb geochronology : 随着原位微区分析技术的发展, 金红石作为常见的副矿物, 受到越来越多的关注结 目前地学研究 的热点科学问题, 文中总结了金红石在变质岩石学中研究进展及存在的问题: ( 1) 金红石在变质岩中的产状及 形成过程; ( 2) 金红石Zr 含量温度计的进展及在低级中级及高级变质岩中的应用; ( 3) 金红石微量元素在弧 岩浆过程和俯冲带变质作用的行为; ( 4) 金红石 U-Pb 定年在变质岩中的应用以上4 个方面的研究一直是 国内外的研究热点, 结 对中国几条著名的俯冲带的深入研究, 将会在有关金红石的变质岩石学研究方面取 得更多的
