Introduction ENF is a photovoltaic information company that started operation in 2005, and its employees are located in Anhui, China and Surrey, UK. There are currently 16 full-time staff and 12 part-time staff and the company is expanding rapidly. ENF has three core activities: PV Company Directory Now receiving over 44,000 unique visitors each month and over 450,000 page views per month, ENFs PV industry directory has become the top source of information for finding suppliers and customers. ENFs directory is built up from constant direct-research into each manufacturing area in order to provide a complete list of all companies – the directory receives further support from the market research department whose investigations into different markets reveal new manufacturers to be added. Companies wishing to gain additional customers can purchase an advertising package which allows them to provide additional detail on their company and products. PV Market Research Most of the biggest PV manufacturers are now customers of ENFs market research reports. The research reports focus on providing a great deal of detail for companies with advanced information requirements who need to see the whole picture. Market report information is collected directly from the manufacturers through telephone or from factory visits, and the accuracy of supplied information is cross referenced with different sources. ENFs CEO has an extensive background in market research including 4 years working for Nokia as a strategy manager, managing primary information collection by thousands of salesmen and spending several hundred thousand Euros a year on market information. Further experience comes from ENFs CTO whose extensive career includes being a director of a UK cable company - managing a department containing 3000 people, and working as one of Vodafones strategy directors.
