几种常用流量计的基础知识和比较（Basic knowledge and comparison of several common flowmeters） Flow measurement is one of the four important process parameters (others are temperature, pressure and object). Closed pipeline flowmeter is classified as follows: Differential pressure flowmeter (DP) This is the most common flow technology, including orifice plate, venturi tube and sonic nozzle. DP flowmeter can be used to measure the flow rate of most liquids, gases and vapors. DP flowmeter has no moving parts and is widely used and easy to use. But when it is blocked, it creates pressure loss and affects accuracy. The accuracy of flow measurement depends on the accuracy of the pressure gauge. Volumetric flowmeter (PD) PD flowmeter is used to measure the volume flow of a liquid or gas. It introduces the fluid into the measurement space and calculates the number of turns. Impeller, gear, piston or orifice are used to divert fluid. The high accuracy of PD flowmeter is one of several methods to measure viscous liquid. But it also produces unrecoverable pressure errors and requires moving parts. Turbine flowmeter As the fluid flows through the turbine flow, the fluid makes the rotor spin. The rotation speed of the rotor is related to the velocity of the fluid. By means of the average flow velocity of the fluid that is felt by the rotor, the flow or total volume is derived. The turbine flowmeter can accurately measure clean liquids and gases. Like a PD flowmeter, a turbine meter also produces unrecoverable pressure errors and requires moving parts. Electromagnetic flowmeter With a conductive fluid flowing through the electromagnetic field, the velocity of the fluid can be obtained by measuring the voltage. The electromagnetic flowmeter has no moving parts and is not affected by the flow. Measuring the conductivity of the conducting liquid in full tube is of high accuracy.
