　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　形容词和副词的最高级本单元语法——形容词和副词的最高级　　I、形容词和副词最高级的构成　　（1）规则变化　　① 一般情况下，单音节或双音节形容词或副词加-est。如：　　　 hard→hardest cleaver→cleverest few→fewest　　　 cheap→cheapest fast→fastest　　② 以-e结尾的形容词或副词加-st。如：　　　 nice→nicest large→largest close→closest　　③ 以辅音字母加-y结尾的形容词或副词，先把-y改为-i，再加-est。如：　　　 easy→easiest heavy→heaviest happy→happiest　　　 busy→busiest early→earliest　　④ 重读闭音节词词尾只有一个辅音字母时，应先双写这个辅音字母，再加-est。如：　　　 big→biggest hot→hottest thin→thinnest　　（2）不规则变化 　　good / well→better→best bad / ill→worse→worst　　many / much→more→most little→less→least　　far→farther / further→farthest / furthest　　（3）多音节和部分双音节形容词直接加most。　　popular→most popular beautiful→most beautiful　　II、形容词和副词最高级的用法　　（1）三者或三者以上相比，表示最高程度时，用“the + 最高级”的结构表示，但为副词的最高级　 　　　时，the可以省略。这种句式一般常有表示比较范围的介词短语，如：in our class， of the 　 　　　five等。如：　 　　　Zhang Hua is the tallest of the three. 张华是三人中最高的。　 　　　He works (the) hardest in his class. 在他们班上，他学习最努力。　　（2）表示“最……之一”的句式，用“one of the + 形容词最高级 + 复数名词”。如：　 　　　Zoe is one of the most hard-working students.
