Methods: We carried out the activities of Quality Control Circle with the theme of reducing waiting time of the cross department pneumatic tube transport. We investigated the waiting time in nine busy sites, formulated the countermeasures, put it into practice, and then compared the average waiting time before and after the activites. Results: The waiting time of pneumatic tube transport decreased from 7.44 minutes to 4.78 minutes and this obviously improved overall working efficiency. Conclusion: The activity of cross department Quality Control Circle in different departments could reduce waiting time of pneumatic tube transport and improve the working efficiency and team working ability.
