The unit includes a rotatable cantilever axis with a bearing, on which a vertical sliding unit and a gripper are mounted. The drive of the handling unit is a linear drive DGO, which is a closed system. Its seals dont get contact with the coolant or other aggressive media. This technology allows DGO to be used in the tough environment of the machine tools.Along the straight line, linear drive moves the cantilever axis away from the working area of the machine tools. When reaching the curved rail by means of linear motion, the cantilever axis turns into rotation motion in 90° so that the gripper opens downwards.
